Imagine the glittering pages of an illuminated manuscript that have been infused with the wonder of the Festive Season. In this class we will draw inspiration from Medieval Manuscripts while creating our own unique Miniature Merry Maker. We take traditional illumination skills while creating a contemporary design. We will combine the rich jewel tones, the gold leaf and the whimsical creatures that can be found in the hidden in the borders and paintings of the manuscripts. The settings for our Merry Makers will utilize gilding, acanthus, vine work, filigree, pointed pen, and watercolours. Our final designs will

be suitable for framing or can be turned into cards. Even if you are terrified of drawing, there is something for you to discover in this class that can be practiced for years to come. You will be amazed at what you can create in this special class.
